Bully Breeds Against Bullies enamel pin

£10.00

3 x 3 cm black nickel hard enamel pin, with rubber backing.

Bully breeds are some of the most mistreated and mis-characterised dogs, when in fact they are some of the most affectionate and sweetest dogs. Mischaracterised dogs like the Bull Terrier breeds, are in fact known to be one of the types of dogs with children, earning them the title of ‘The Nanny Dog’.

In the UK there is breed specific legislation, making certain dogs vulnerable to being put down simply for so much as carrying traits of certain breeds. The Dangerous Dogs Act presupposes the blame on the dogs when in fact it lies solely with owners and breeder.
Banned breeds in the UK are currently the Pit Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, Fila Braziliero, & Japanese Tosa — though Pit Bull types are easily most discriminated against. There are many cases of the police (illegally) seizing dogs because they ‘look’ too much like a Pittie.

I created this pin to raise awareness of both the true natures of these breeds, and DDA Watch, a charity dedicated to the protection of these dogs, and fighting BSL. They also focus on providing legal aid for owners of seized dogs, as well as teaching responsible dog ownership. Please visit their about page for more info.

Please bear in mind I typically mail out orders on the last Thursday of each month, but feel free to contact me if you would like to arrange faster shipping!
